THE DUKE`S TAKE ON THE UPCOMING 2009 SEASON
Welcome to another season with Football Services! I am excited as ever to get the pigskin back in action. Last year was a success as I gave over 60 % winners on 3* regular plays for college and pro combined! I'm confident this year will be even more profitable, and with that in mind the decision was made to become monitored through The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma. You will not find me giving picks on 1 site and turning around and playing the other side on another site. The picks I give will only be on FootballServices.com, and the picks you see are the same picks I will be turning in to The Sports Monitor, so get on board now for what appears to be a very profitable season.
Now....onto the games! The talk of the season once again is focused down in Gainesville, where the Gators once again are loaded with talent. USC lost a lot of talent to the NFL but Pete Carroll just reloads every year. They will be led at QB by a true freshman, which could be a little cause for concern. But then again, if you can start as a freshman at USC, you're no "ordinary" freshman. Texas and Oklahoma will once again light up the scoreboard and either could very well be playing in the title game. Here are a few of the many matchups I'll be eyeing:
Sept.12 - USC @ Ohio St.: The Buckeyes hand USC their 1st loss (1 of 3 Possibly?).
Sept.19 - Tennessee @ Florida: Florida BIG!
Nov.28 - Oklahoma St. @ Oklahoma: Oklahoma St. in the mix for a big bowl?
BCS title game prediction: Florida/Oklahoma Part II.
As for the NFL, there were numerous storylines the past few months but none caught the spotlight quite like Brett Favre. He's a nice addition in Minnesota but I'm still not sold on his receivers and he had better come out of the gate fast because after week 5 he'll see Baltimore, Week 7 @ Pittsburgh, and Week 8 @ GB. Minnesota, in my opinion, is still not the best team in their division.
As for games to watch I say watch as many as you can, as you never know what your going to see from week to week in the NFL.
Super Bowl prediction: San Diego/Dallas
Good luck to everyone this season!
The DukeDOLPHIN SPORT`S TAKE ON THE UPCOMING 2009 SEASON
Here we are about to start the 2009 football season and once again I will be monitored by The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma, along with The Duke. While being monitored by The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma last season, (their website www.thesportsmonitor.com), I finished the college regular season #17 overall going 36-24 for 60% wins. I was 10-6 with Top plays 62.5%, #17 overall in the Bowl season going 6-3 for 66.67%, and 2-0 with Top Bowl plays. While I did struggle overall in the NFL season going 19-23, my Top NFL plays went 9-5 for 64%. I ended the season ranked 45th in The Sports Monitor`s 2008 combination pro & college rankings overall.
This season on FootballServices.com we will once again continue our Bonus Trends to both our paid and non-paid members. Our bonus trends have been solid these last few seasons going 9-5-1 in the 2007 season, and 14-9 during the 2008 season. That's over a 60% winning percentage our members received for free! Last year in my pre-season write-up, I had written about Week 17 and how Favre would be looking forward to going hunting. The Jets ended up needing that game for the playoffs, and what happened? Miami was the 24-17 winner. Now to a few games I`m keeping an eye on this season.
PRO
1) Week 2 on 9/20/09. New England is visiting the Jets. "THE HOODY vs REX". This one`s easy for me. There`s a saying, "Don`t talk the talk if you can`t walk the walk". New England is 10-0 ATS at the Jets.
2) Week 4 on 10/04/09. Green Bay at Minnesota. Brett was 6-3 in last 9 games at MINN as a Packer, I have to believe he'll be ready for this game to prove something even though his old teammates get the chance to put a hurt on him.
3) Week 13 on 12/06/09. Detroit at Cincinnati. I look for a rout here. It will be interesting if Stafford will still be standing. I have to believe he is going to take some BIG TIME HITS and may be hurting some coming into this game. CINN may have a let down from playing CLEV week before, but i think Ocho will make a difference in this game. CINN is 10-0-1 ATS after the Brownies.
COLLEGE
1) Week 2 on 9/12/09. UCLA at Tennessee. I look for UCLA under Neuheisel to be better this year. UCLA is 4-0 ATS last 4 vs TENN.
2) Week 8 on 10/31/09. Missouri at Colorado. I`m eyeing Colorado in this one. Colorado will be a better team this year and Mizzu will be missing those big offensive weapons. Colorado is 3-1 L4H ATS.
3) Week 10 on 11/14/09. Tennessee at Mississippi. This could be a BIG GAME for Mississippi for a major bowl and after having NO Arizona the week before at home, if they have any injuries they should be healed and well rested. Ole Miss is 6-1 last 7 ATS vs Tenn.
Get on board with FS early, I had 5 PERFECT SATURDAY'S and 2 PERFECT SUNDAYS last season including 6-0 1st 2 weeks (8-2 1st 3 weeks) in college ! YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE !
Good luck to everyone in the upcoming season, Dolphin Sports
