THE DUKE ON THE 2009 SEASON SUPER BOWL ON 2-7-10

The matchup that many have been anticipating will finally be played out as the New Orleans Saints meet the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl 44. New Orleans was very fortunate in the NFC Championship as the Minnesota Vikings outgained them by 200+ yards, but 5 turnovers by the Vikes sent Drew Brees and Company to Miami. Meanwhile Indy was able to get by Baltimore and the NY Jets, who posted 2 of the 3 best overall defenses in the NFL, with New York coming in as #1 in the league. This week the Colts get the the #25 ranked defense in the league with New Orleans, who also have the 7th worst pass defense. Will Peyton Manning be able to pick apart this Saints defense on route to his 2nd Lombardi trophy, or will this New Orleans defense rise to the occasion and give the city their first title?
As in previous seasons at Football Services we like to have a little fun with the "prop plays". Here are a few that I like for the season finale:

1. Jeremy Shockey over 3 receptions
2. Donald Brown longest rush from scrimmage: under 10.5
3. Number of FG'S attempted: over 3.5
4. Drew Brees total TD passes: over 2

Hope you enjoyed another season and will join us once again next year.
Enjoy the Game!

DOLPHIN SPORT`S ON THE 2009 SEASON SUPER BOWL ON 2-7-10

We have now come to Super Bowl 44 and the end of another season. This year we have both #1 seeds squaring off for the Lombardi Trophy. New Orleans started 13-0 before dropping their last 3. Indianapolis started 14-0 before they started playing their starters sparingly so they would be rested and healthy for the post-season, a decision which caused Indy to lose out in the regular season. I believe the biggest factor in this game could be the health of Dwight Freeney. Indy need`s the pass rush from Freeney on Brees, or Brees could pick them apart. Will Brees put New Orleans back on the map with a Super Bowl win, or will Manning roll to his 2nd? I think Peyton Manning is one of the best of all time, but he`s looked like that for years and this is only his second Super Bowl appearance...(only 1 more than the great Dan Marino). As usual, with the Super Bowl there are many "prop plays". Below, I have listed a few prop plays that I like.

1. Punts under 7.5
2. Field Goal attempts over 3.5
3. 1st TD scored by Dallas Clark 6:1
4. 1st TD scored by Jeremy Shockey 12:1

Good Luck, enjoy the game, and see you again next season!

BIG SWISS ON THE 2009 SEASON SUPER BOWL ON 2-7-10

Super Bowl 44 and the two number 1 seeds and the 2 best teams in the league are playing for the Lombardi Trophy. Or are they? I will take this time to state my own opinion here and say I`m not sure about that. I personally thought that this was Baltimore and Minnesota`s year, but Indy did get past Baltimore twice. However after looking at the Baltimore/Indy playoff game I found something interesting. Ray Rice was thrown too, or ran the ball 25 of the 55 plays Baltimore ran on offense. It`s not that difficult to stop a team when you know who`s gonna touch the ball on half of their offensive snaps. As far as the Saints go, I believe I am not alone in stating that they are lucky they are even in Miami. I mean face it, the facts are, against Minnesota they only had 15 FD compared to 31 that Minny got. The Saints were only 3-12 on 3rd down conversions, they got out-gained on offense by over 200 yards, which included being outgained by 97 yards on the ground! You could even look deeper and see that the Saints had 9 penalties for 88 yards while Minnesota only had 5 penalties for 32 yards on the day! And that was in the deafening Superdome! Dare I mention the 5 turnovers by Minnesota? If Minnesota racked up stats like that even after giving up 5 TO, what will Manning do if he controls the ball? I`m sorry, but something just doesn`t look right with this picture. Were the New York Jets the Cinderella team? Or will we find out that it was actually the Saints! Yes, both Indy and the Saints lost out on their regular season games, but once again..you must look deeper. Indy lost because they benched their starters to rest them for the "Game of all Games". I have failed to hear anyone say that they don`t believe that Indy could have gone undefeated had they so desired (unless they were Manning haters). Then look at the other side of the ball. Brees and company were striving for the win in week 15 as Brees got stripped by DeMarcus Ware in the final minutes to stop the Saints pursuit of perfection. The Saints lost out. The Saints have only covered 1 of TL7 this SSN while Indianapolis has covered 7 of TL 9. Indianapolis is 5-0 ATS this season on grass surfaces while the Saints are 3-2. You mean, you forgot you have 2 dome teams playing outside? New Orleans is 3-2 ATS versus Indianapolis since 1992 with their last meeting being in September of 2007, Indy won 41-10. Sean Payton was there, Caldwell was also (as an assistant). How times change, three years ago everyone was wondering if a dome team could ever win the big game, now we have 2 dome teams squaring off! What will I be watching for in this game? Reggie Bush, Dwight Freeney, and any glimmer of defense from either side. Not Manning or Brees you say? Hell, we all know these guys are playing their position almost to perfection. They could both throw for 7 touchdowns and 500 yards and it wouldn`t surprise anyone. Whoever wins this game will either do 1 of 2 things.

1. Get a big turnover on defense.
2. Have the ball last.
Get ready, this could be the first Overtime in Super Bowl history. Prop plays I like...ya, I got a few. Like I said, I`m watchin Bush.

1. REGGIE BUSH OVER 30.5 RUSHING YARDS
2. REGGIE BUSH OVER 3.5 RUSHING YARDS ON FIRST ATTEMPT

I would like to take this time to thank all of our followers and supporters throughout the season. I hope I helped make your season a successful one and am looking forward to next season already.
